Wow, your looking for double umbrella strollers. That either means that you have just had twins or someone you know has just had twins and you need a shower gift for them. How exciting... Twins are such a joy and thankfully with the double strollers that are on the market today there's no need to put the twins in separate strollers. They can ride together. Another good reason to buy a double stroller might be if you have a second child not yet out of the stroller age. These type of strollers are so convenient for families that have more than one child that is still within the weight recommended for the umbrella strollers usage. One of the most important features to look for in buying a double umbrella stroller of couse will be the weight of the stroller. This is like having two strollers in one, and can greatly make a difference in carrying the stroller around, fitting it into the trunk of your vehicle and storing it away in the home. Can you imagine carrying your double umbrella stroller up and down the stairs? Not to worry, most manufacturers will give you all the weight details before you buy. Another thing you might want to look for in your double stroller is having the choice to individually recline the babies seats, as one of the babies may be feeling tired and wanting to sleep, while the other baby is wide awake, cheerful and wanting to sit up. These separate features are available so be sure to look for them. Perhaps you might want to have the ability to adjust their sun visors separately if one baby has the sun in their eyes and the other doesn't. Having two babies or toddlers to watch at the same time might prompt you to buy a stroller that has a 5 point harness system in place rather than a 3 point harness one. I guess when it comes right down to it, your looking for the same features and quality in double umbrella strollers that you would hope to find in a single umbrella stroller, with a few extra important things to note such as overall weight and compact ability. Since they'll both have the same stroller, the only thing I can think of that may become an issue, is which side they will sit on. Oh well...that's the fun of having twins and teaching them all about sharing! |
